Steering System Concepts:
We came up with two design concepts.
1. Concept #1- This design would require CNC milling and welding of Aluminum parts. The picture below shows this design. CNC milling and welding will require a lot of time and make the design more complex.
2. Concept #2- Since the first concept design requires welding and CNC milling of Aluminum, we decided to come up with a design that will not require any machining. The following picture shows this second concept design.
This design consists of piping parts which easily attach to each other via threads. Therefore, this seems like a less complicated direct steering design than concept #1.
